Ours is one of the largest departments of the school. Not only are we numerous, we are also very colourful. We believe that teaching English should not stop at teaching the language, it should become a tool for learning in itself. We engage in interdisciplinary projects with the CLIL approach starting at about B1 level, and give year-long topic-based courses to senior students. We also make sure learning English comes with developing intercultural competences, too. Apart from offering a UK-based language course, we also have a special program for involving volunteer native speakers in our lessons on a regular basis – for this we work together with Calvin University, Grand Rapids, MI, USA and with API at Corvinus University, Budapest.
